Senator Jeanne Shaheen makes campaign stop in Philly

In a lively room, on a recent chilly December, there were lots of questions about the US foreign relations policy being bantered about, and Senator Jeanne Shaheen from New Hampshire met with guests of Represent PA to discuss her re-election campaign to the US Senate.

Senator Shaheen connected to the group in Philadelphia by sharing that she at one time lived in both the town of Reading and of Selinsgrove, PA; and, she graduated from Shippensburg University, then Shippensburg State College. She currently has three challengers in her race in 2020, and as a member of the Electing Women Alliance, Represent PA regularly brings Federal women candidates to Pennsylvania, who need our support. Although Represent PA’s priority is gaining a representative democracy in Harrisburg, we also support progressive women candidates at the Federal level through the Alliance.

Jeanne spent time providing guests with some of her background as the previous governor of New Hampshire and explaining her first-hand view of Washington DC as part of the Foreign Relations, Small Business and Appropriations committees.

When progressive women candidates like Senator Shaheen get elected, we move another step closer to regaining control of the US Senate, where democrats need to win the majority.
