House Democratic Leader Joanna McClinton said, “We have about 20 percent people of color in the Commonwealth. This map should have, finally, for the first time in the House, 20 percent people of color in the House.”
The results of May’s primaries have confirmed this belief, and the next iteration of the General Assembly will be far more reflective of Pennsylvania’s demographics than it has been over the past 30 years.
