65 people attend Represent PA's second Breakfast Briefing to hear from five of our newly endorse

This morning, upwards of 65 participants gathered over Zoom with Represent PA to hear from five newly endorsed candidates. They included four candidates for State House, Claudette Williams HD 176 (Monroe), Jess Benham HD 36 (Allegheny), Jill Dennin HD 147 (Montgomery) and Nancy Guenst HD 152 (Montgomery, Philadelphia) and one candidate for Senate Julie Slomski SD 49 (Erie). Each candidate spoke briefly on their unique backgrounds, their professional and personal accomplishments, and how it will lend to their success in office. Represent PA endorses new and incumbent primary candidates with over $200,000 across 21 counties

PHILADELPHIA, May 4, 2020 – Represent PA, the only organization in Pennsylvania focused on investing in Democratic women candidates for the PA legislature, today announced it would endorse six new candidates for state Senate and 18 new candidates for the House, in addition to endorsing incumbents. These primary endorsements reflect Represent’s goal of supporting strong women candidates who, if elected, can flip the legislature from Republican to Democrat. While maintaining its current seats, flipping the legislature requires Democrats to gain four Senate and nine House seats. Represent PA invested $205,500 in races across the state.
